My Story

First, I want to thank you for coming. It really means a lot to me. I'm hope my story can help you. 

When I was laid-off from my airline career of 15 years, I was devastated. Flying airplanes was all I knew and all I ever wanted to do. But some reason, I had the urge to do something creative other than photography, so I went online and bought a set of watercolour paints. That one action led to me learn how to paint, to find a teacher and mentor, and a community of watercolour artists who encouraged me daily and lead me believe I Am an Artist. My identity was so wrapped up in my career I had no idea I had an artist living inside me. All growth lives outside of your comfort zone. People tell me my paintings inspire them and my story gives them hope. I can't begin to tell you what that means to me. But first and foremost, my paintings inspire Me. I know I wouldn't be here without them. Even though I am now back at work, I understand it's just a job now. Who I am is an artist.
